THE STORY BEHIND THE PAINTING
A chapter in light and place.
THE JOURNEY
A storm transforms the coast from scenery into force. Water, wind and sky become active, and the lighthouse is understood not as decoration but as necessity.
The painting grew from that shift in meaning—the moment when the landscape reveals the true purpose of the structure within it.
IN THE STUDIO
Dark moving passages were built with broad directional marks, giving the weather energy and weight.
The lighthouse was reserved and clarified against the surrounding movement, allowing its stillness to become the strongest statement.
